First released by Nigel Mazlyn Jones on his own Isle of Light Records in 1976 in vinyl form, the re-mastered CD includes 23 minutes of previously unreleased material, the equivalent to a whole new side of the original LP. The CD sounds far closer to the original studio recordings than the vinyl version and includes a twelve page booklet insert with lyrics for all the songs, sleeve notes from NMJ, photos of the players and more visuals from Julian Russell who created the original artwork.

Ship to Shore is a collector's classic now re-released under license on the Kissing Spell label. NMJ has often collaborated with other musicians and styles including commissions for TV and radio and his recorded output grows steadily. NMJ albums including the Ship to Shore re-release are available online from Isle of Light website or by postal mail order. Register for an email news letter and updates on the website.

Track Notes excerpts.
'On A Singularly Fine Day' and 'Take Me Home' reflect the optimism that we will
reach a better world one day. True then, true now.

'The Man and The Deer' The man and the deer talk together but the hunter-gatherer
lies. Take what we need or what we want ?

'Follow Every Sunset' Leaving home for the last time with dreams of the
Springtime open road and itchy feet. Optimism on the run.

'How High The Moon' One night high on the cliffs and high on the atmosphere.
'Reality' Healing in everyone's hands. I speak only as I find. "We could go far
from reality" What is that anyway?

'Port Quin Song' The lady and her child will wait forever for their fisherman
husband and father on the beach. A true story.

'Ship To Shore' Nature's storms raked the coast. I listened to the waves battering
the fishing village. The world would break apart. The planet is a ship and we
are part of the crew. The instrumental ending is called 'Dry Land'.
