In 1987 he released his fourth album, Water From The Well, featuring Guy Evans and former Hawkwind member Nik Turner, and moving away from the tradition song based format by featuring songs on one side and instrumentals on the other. One of the songs, "Papa Echo Alpha Charley Echo" was produced by Nigel Gray, producer of early albums by The Police. This peace song was based around the phonetic alphabet and morse code because these are used by armed forces the world over. Like most of the material on this album, "Papa" mixes spiritual forces with grounded street awareness.

In 1989 he released the solo video album, Beyond This Point, with live sound track overlaid with powerful visuals shot in the locations where some of the pieces were written. Dramatic sky, cliff, seascape and fantasy sequences highlight the songs whilst both illustrating and extending their interpretation. In 1991 the live album Mazlyn Jones was released, including the title tracks from the first three albums along with previously unreleased material. With no studio trickery or overdubs, the multi-layered sounds and psych-acoustics on this recording are an accurate and honest representation of his live performance.

Throughout the nineties he has continued to tour using the sequential projections and occasionally featuring one-off gigs with guest musicians at various gigs and festivals. The juxtaposition of Guy Evans's percussion and shamanic drumming with Mazlyn's electro-acoustic guitar and santor makes a very fertile ground for improvisation. He featured this line-up along with Nik Turner on flutes and sax and other friends on violin and dijeridoo on the main stage at the 1992 Glastonbury Festival, where he also starred on the acoustic stage. In 1996 Mazlyn and Guy Evans were invited as special guests to synth legend Klaus Schulze at the launch of the new UK label AD Music Ltd in Derby. Over the past few years, Mazlyn has played many sets at the top London club Whirlygig, one of which is represented by the closing "Parachute Landings" suite on the latest Live CD.

In the last couple of years his music has been used on TV landscape films in the UK and abroad, he has featured solo on the BBC documentary "Festival", guested on Roy Harper's album Once, appeared as a special guest on Bob Geldof's UK tour and released the all instrumental album Angels Over Water. He has also given the occasional workshop on creative composition and the environment. His history proves his love of nature and commitment to our common home. This comes across strongly in his lyrics and instrumentals as does his refusal to be compromised and sidetracked from his overview of life.

Also in the works is the first of a series of instrumental "Journey Tapes" which are collaborations with other musicians which he is currently recording.
